Meet Dr. Amin Hedayat

About Amin Hedayat, MD

Physician. Pathologist. Dermatopathologist. Assistant Clinical Professor. Educator on inflammation and metabolic health.

Dr. Amin Hedayat is an Ivy League-trained physician focused on the metabolic and inflammatory roots of chronic disease. His clinical interests include PMOS (formerly PCOS), Hashimoto's and other autoimmune conditions, type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes, the clinical use of weight loss medications, and the prevention of skin cancers and other inflammation-driven illnesses.

He founded Get UNINFLAMED to translate peer-reviewed science into clear, practical education for adults who want to take their long-term health seriously. The premise is straightforward. Patients deserve to be treated as intelligent adults, given the same data their physicians see, and shown the actual mechanisms behind their symptoms rather than simply told to lose weight.

The work centers on one idea. Lower chronic inflammation, protect Metabolic Reserve, and much of what we call age-related decline becomes negotiable. The Metabolic Shield is the flagship educational program built around that idea. The Inner Circle is the community of members putting it into practice.

Background

Dr. Hedayat is a triple board-certified physician in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and dermatopathology, and holds an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor. His educational work, published under UNINFLAMED, applies the same peer-reviewed standard of evidence to content created for a general audience.

Dermatopathology is unique among the pathology subspecialties. It covers the full range of skin disease, from melanoma and cutaneous lymphoma to the inflammatory conditions that appear on slides every day. Psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, lichenoid and granulomatous dermatitides, and the cutaneous changes associated with metabolic and autoimmune disease.

Over years of case work, a pattern became impossible to overlook. Many of these conditions share biological roots in chronic systemic inflammation and metabolic dysfunction. The skin is often the first visible record of what is happening throughout the body.

That observation drew him deeper into the peer-reviewed literature on inflammation, insulin resistance, and metabolic reserve. The more he read, the wider the gap appeared between what the published science shows and what patients are commonly told. UNINFLAMED exists to close that gap, with content that is sourced, cited, and held to the same standard of evidence he would expect from any clinical colleague.

What he does now

Dr. Hedayat continues to practice dermatopathology and holds an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor. The majority of his time is devoted to medical education. He publishes long-form, peer-reviewed content on metabolic health, inflammation, and longevity for a general audience at www.youtube.com/@draminhedayat. Every concept is sourced and cited so readers can verify it independently.

He is not affiliated with the pharmaceutical industry, compounded medications, or any product that lacks regulatory clearance. His intent is to bring the same standard of evidence to the public conversation that he would expect from any colleague in medicine.
